WACEP held the the 2023 Spring Symposium at the Edgewater Hotel in Madison, March 1-2, 2023.  The symposium included hot topics in EM, overcrowding and documentation issues, post-Dobbs in WI, stroke, pediatric penetrating trauma and ophthalmology trauma.  Dr. Scott Dresden, from Feinberg School of Medicine; Northwestern University joined us as the Keynote speaker and spoke about Improving Emergency Care for Elders.  The Annual Membership Meeting celebrated WACEP's accomplishments for the year and honored Dr. Julianna Doniere with the Distinguished Service Award; Dr. Brian Sharp with the Past President's Award; Dr. Sarah Soderberg (UW) and Dr. Sehr Khan (MCW) with the annual Resident Advocate Awards. 

Partnering with the the Departments of Emergency Medicine at both the University of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin, WACEP hosts the annual Wisconsin Emergency Medicine Research Forum during its Spring Symposium, which includes poster sessions and oral presentations.
